Yesterday Val and I went to Kawaii Hawaii to purchase some Asian fabrics for a class that we are going to take. We are also going to use our pink and aqua owl fabric that we already have. We are making a japanese style bag. Sorry I don't have a picture of it. The dark blue fabric on the left will be used for the sides and the handle. The red zodiac, aqua flower, red bunny, and blue flower fabrics will be for the flying geese pattern that goes down the center (as well as our owl fabric and one more that we will purchase from the shop our class is at). The neutral dragonfly fabric will enclosse the triangles of colored fabric for our flying geese pattern. The blue owls on the top is just for us because we love it! Here's our fabric:
We also got some ME scottie fabric to make needle cases. The fabric is prfect because the squares are already laid out! Too cute! I'll probably put a couple in the etsy store. BTW - the etsy store will not open until mid-March - after I come back from my trip to Las Vegas and skiing in Utah!
Oh. That's a pack of cherry buttons I also got. We ate at our favorite Ige's again!
Every time I read about you and Val going shopping for fabric and beads it makes me wish so bad I had a crafty buddy to do stuff with. You are so lucky!
