OMG! It's still raining here. My girlfriend just told me that she heard it's been raining here for 40 days straight. The flash flood watch is supposed to end tomorrow afternoon, but we will still have some rain. Yikes! Don't get me wrong. I LOVE rain! But this is ridiculous! My poor dog - Pal - is hiding upstairs in the bathroom (his little cave) becasue of all the thunder. Poor guy. He just curls up and shakes. I try to bring him down for a while and carry him but he feels better in his "cave."
It has not been much of a Spring break for the girls. They don't like rain. The gyms have gotten flooded so both soccer games and volleyball tournaments have been cancelled. Luckily, I don't live in a flood zone. There are some families who have lost their homes and belongings to the flooding and mudslides. Roads have been closed, beaches have warning signs up about contaminated waters from sewage lines breaking, and it's just a big mess. I also feel bad to the visitors who thought they'd have a wonderful vacation in sunny Hawaii - not this time. I don't remember when it has rained so much. This must be a record. Anyway, here's a couple pics of how it looks outside my door right now:
On a "cherrier" note, I posted a couple cherry charms in the shop. I feel "cheerier" when I look at them!
They are just brilliant. IIt's been raining in Wales too. What happend to our summer!!

Oh, man, I feel for all the folks who are being hard hit by the rain/floods you've been having...
And on another, vastly DIFFERENT note: Love the cherries! (How was that for an abrupt change of topics?)

Thanks Barb! Pal is feeling much better since the rain slowed down. He even got to go out twice before it started to rain again.

Oh your poor doggy. This rain is getting old, isn't it? Those cherries will brighten any day:)
