This was a collaborative effort. I made the collage part. I used book pages that I adhered together using gel medium. After letting that thoroughly dry, I stippled it randomly with Brilliance inks in coffee bean, a green, a blue and a beige. I adhered transparency film with some images of eggs onto the front. Then I adhered a torn picture of an egg and a nest to the back and an image of a bird that I cut out to the front. A touch of glitter was added to enhance the bird image and randomly sprinkled on the back of the collage also. I sprayed it with Krylon spray varnish after it was dry.
I punched the holes and added copper colored eyelets so that it could be wired. Then I handed it over to Karen. Karen (owner of Bella Beads) added the hammered wire and beads to finish it off. I punched one of the holes in the wrong place and covered it up in the front, but forgot the back - oops! I will cover it with another jewel to hide the hole.
Sorry these picture are really bad. I was in a hurry and then ran out of space on the card and I had to leave it at the store and go. It was a fun project. I want to make more. I may use a thin piece of wood (maybe a 1/8 inch ply) for the next one and drill the holes for the eyelets. Hmmm . . . maybe I can paint the whole thing - like a little picture. Yikes, it's been about 9 years since I've painted! Oh well, it's a thought to be pondered more.
I love all this crafty creations you are sharing! It's nice to get on a creative roll. This collaberative collage is really pretty.
