Finished Red Crocheted Cap

Judging from the verdict in this household the red crocheted cap is a failure.  No one likes it.  I, however, don't think it's a failure.  First of all, I like it.  It came out like the one in  the store.  Second, I learned two new things!  First, I learned how to do the shell stitch.  Second, I learned how to crochet elastic into the end row.  Here are some pics just 'cuz I said I would. 

In this one with my daughter, she is covering her face (I'm guessing because she doesn't want to be seen wearing this awful, ugly hat!) 

Here's my mom with the cap on.  I think it looks good on her.

 

Oh well, I'm glad i did it.  My next project will be something knitted.  I'm not sure what . . .

I enjoy making hats. Yours looks way more complicated than mine though. The shell stitch and elastic? I'm impressed. I think it is cute too.
