I forgot to post this crocheted shrug I did during my time away from cyber blog land. It's supposed to be a shrug, but it didn't come out right. Oh well, it's my first attempt at crocheting clothing. I'm glad I did it. I'm glad I did it with the cheapo Red Heart Yarn that I already had. J modeled for me even though it's too big for her. Thanks J!Here's the pics:
Here's some information on the patterns I used to make this: I used a combination of patterns from a DIY network show - Uncommon Threads. This episode had women who made a shrug, a shracket (shrug / jacket), and a shroat (shrug / coat). I made the rectangle shrug first, but felt it was too small for my "rounded" figure - grin, so I added the instructions for the shracket. Then I added some of the shroat to it. On the show, that's how they did it. The first woman made the shrug, then to make the shracket, you just add more to it and so forth for the shroat.
Keep creating!
I'm not sure exactly what episode of Uncommon Threads I got the info from. Unfortunately, I can't find the pattern anymore. I probably lost it :( Hope you can find it on the Uncommon Threads show list if they still have it. I went back to work full time 3 years ago so I don't even know if the show it still aired. Thanks for visiting and for the wonderful comments!

Hi Stace...I LOVE your shrugg! I think you took these patterns and made something better than all of them. Nice job. I have been noticing that you seem to like the same books that I do and I was wondering what you might recommend of the books that you have covers of on your blog. I'm looking for a good book right now. I also love your jewelry, especially the bracelets which I may give a try. thanks!

The shrug looks like it turned out well to me. I'd also like to know what pattern you used?
